The Head...and The Heart

Rascal, Moose and Dottie

Today both Dottie and her brother, Moose, went to a new home. The person who came to see the kittens today was a true cat-lover. She had an older cat who was very lonely since his housecat friend had passed a few weeks ago. This person even does Reiki on animals. I liked her very much and know that these two kittens will have a wonderful new home with people who love them. (And she knew that if they didn't fit in with her family she could bring them back)

Now I know all of this. My Head knew all of this right from the start of finding the little family - that they would be under our care until new, good homes could be found for them.

I just wish it would have told all of that to my Heart...

Hearts have a "mind" of their own.... I'm going through the same struggle over selling Rechel, and she's not even gone yet!

So did they take Moose & Dottie instead of Dora & Pippi??? They are a cute pair to be sure - I knew you were going to get hooked...I don't think I could foster cats and find them new homes - I would become one of those "cat ladies" who have a housefull! T.

My daughter has anounced her intentions to keep the kittens she found a few weeks ago.
She is as bad as I was at her age, but without the gentle (ahem) guidence of my father who disliked cats.
I truely hope she gets through vet school, she is going to need the income to take care of all the strays she picks up.
Your heart will heal, just get out there and hug a sheep would ya?

They are just like bookends great pair of kittens. Hearts are hard to deal with sometimes but always stay the way you are cats need our help!
Sheep hugs are good! A little warm in the summer but good.

It is so hard to let them go, even if they are running you crazy. What a wonderful picture of them. I'm glad you are finding good homes for them. I think I need you to come to Missouri and get my spinning wheel working, but whatever you do don't bring that Rascal! :-)
Take care,

They look an adorable pair and I am so glad you have found a good home for them. I always said it would be hard to let them go and you would wish you could keep them all, but knowing it is to a loving home will help your heart to heal

oh Kathy, this is why I don't think I can ever have puppies. i'd never want them to leave, even though I had some amazing homes lined up for them.

You are a Saint for taking them in, and loving them with your whole heart. They know they are lucky!
